The loved by many and long awaited Christmas time is fast approaching! This year’s Christmas break for the students of Collegium Medicum is scheduled from 22 December 2018 until 2 January 2019. Find out how the observation of Christmas in Poland differs from that in your home country.
On 23rd September 2015, Gerard Keown, the Ambassador of Ireland to Poland, paid a visit to the Irish students of the 6-year Medical Program in English, commencing their studies at Collegium Medicum in the academic year 2015/16.
25th November 2014 was a historic day in the life of Collegium Medicum. It marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University and, at the same time, the 10th anniversary of its merger with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. As a result of the union proclaimed in 2004, the University changed its name from the Ludwik Rydygier Medical University in Bydgoszcz to the Nicolaus Copernicus University Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz
The Medicinal and Cosmetic Plant Garden was officially opened for use on 14th October 2014. It has been created for educational purposes, serving as a source of plant material used in teaching and research carried out in particular by the Chair and Department of Pharmaceutical Biology and Botany and the Chair and Department of Pharmacognosy of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz. The garden also serves to popularize the knowledge of medicinal and cosmetic plants among the local community.

The opening ceremony of the academic year 2014/2015 will be held on 1st October 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the newly renovated Assembly Hall [Aula] of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The Rector Magnificus of the University cordially invites the whole academic community to participate in the event.
