On 30 April 2020, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Sokala – the rector-elect of the Nicolaus Copernicus University – appointed five new vice-rectors for the term 2020-2024.
Prof. Kornelia Kędziora-Kornatowska, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and head of the Department of Geriatrics at the said faculty, has been elected Vice-Rector for Collegium Medicum. The nomination is yet to be approved by the Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus University. The final decision should be made within the coming days. The term of office of the new Vice-Rector begins on 1 October 2020.
Dr Agnieszka Mikucka and dr Tomasz Bogiel from the Department of Microbiology of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the NCU Collegium Medicum and the Department of Clinical Microbiology of the Antoni Jurasz University Hospital No. 1 in Bydgoszcz are in a team that introduced tests allowing to detect SARS-CoV-2 virus directly in the clinical material. And in just 3 hours!
