prof. dr hab. Andrzej Sokala – the rector-elect of the Nicolaus Copernicus University – appointed five new vice-rectors

On 30 April 2020, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Sokala – the rector-elect of the Nicolaus Copernicus University – appointed five new vice-rectors for the term 2020-2024.

Starting from 1 October 2020, prof. Sokala will supervise the functioning of the University together with the following authority representatives:

Prof. dr hab. Kornelia Kędziora-Kornatowska – vice-rector for Collegium Medicum; head of the Department of Geriatrics at the Faculty of Health Sciences; graduated from the Medical Academy in Łódź in 1987; awarded the title of professor in 2009; 1st and 2nd degree specialist in internal medicine and geriatrics; employed at the Military Medical Academy in Łódź until 2001; dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at NCU Collegium Medicum since 2012.

Prof. dr hab. Wojciech Wysota – vice-rector for research and international cooperation; professor at the Department of Geology and Hydrogeology at the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management; graduated in geography at NCU in 1982; awarded the title of professor in 2012; specialist in glacial geology and geomorphology; employed at NCU since 1982; dean of the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences in 2012-2016; vice-rector for international and business cooperation at NCU since 2016.

Prof. dr hab. Przemysław Nehring  – vice-rector for education; professor at the Department of Classical Studies at the Faculty of Humanities; graduated in classical philology at NCU in 1991; awarded the title of professor in 2019; specialist in early Christian literature, ancient rhetorics and late antique historiography; employed at NCU since 1994; dean of the Faculty of Humanities (formerly Faculty of Languages) at NCU since 2016.

Prof. dr hab. Beata Przyborowska, – vice-rector for student affairs; professor at the Department of School Education at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences; graduated in pedagogy at NCU in 1992; awarded the title of professor in 2014; specialist in innovative pedagogy, school theory and anthropological basis of education; employed at NCU since 1992; vice-rector for education at NCU since 2012.

Prof. dr hab. Włodzimierz Jaskólski – vice-rector for cooperation with the socioeconomic environment; professor at the Department of Quantum Physics at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics; graduated in physics at NCU in 1979; awarded the title of professor in 2002; specialist in surface and thin film physics theory; employed at NCU since 1984; dean of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics at NCU since 2016.
