May Break

By the decision of the University’s authorities, 2 May 2017 (Tuesday) is free from classes. The University will be closed on that day. This year’s May Break will last from 29 April (Saturday) until 3 May (Wednesday). The break is due to the two important public holidays celebrated in Poland in that period: the Labour Day (1 May) and the Constitution Day (3 May).


Wanted: Blood Donors

Join us for another edition of the “Wampiriada” blood donation event, which will be held on 26 April 2016 in Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz. Blood banks are in a constant need for this life-giving fluid. We believe that the academic community of our medical university will be there to respond to the problem once again.


Elections to the Council of the Student Government

Elections to the Councils of the Student Government at the Faculties of Pharmacy, Medicine and Health Sciences have been postponed and will be held on 5 May 2016. The candidates’ application deadline has been moved to 28 April 2016.


Deans for the Term 2016-2020

New deans of Collegium Medicum faculties have been elected for the term 2016-2020:Faculty of Pharmacy – prof. dr hab. Stefan Kruszewski Faculty of Medicine – dr hab. Katarzyna Pawlak-Osińska, prof. UMK Faculty of Health Sciences – prof. dr hab. Kornelia Kędziora-Kornatowska  


Another Collegium Medicum Scientist in a PAN Committee

We are delighted to report another notable achievement of a Collegium Medicum academic. Prof. dr hab. Olga Haus, head of the Department of Clinical Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine of NCU Collegium Medicum, has been appointed a member of the Committee on Human Genetics and Molecular Pathology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) for the term 2016-2020.


Our Specialist in EBMT

We are proud to inform that prof. dr hab. Jan Styczyński from the Department of Paediatrics, Haematology and Oncology at Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz has been appointed the chair of the Infectious Diseases Working Party (IDWP) of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) for the term 2016-2020 and, consequently, a member of the management board of the Society.


Polish Volleyball Championships for Medical Universities

The Polish Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Championships for Medical Universities were held in Bydgoszcz between 14-17 April 2016. Our female players won the title of champions for the third time in a row! Congratulations!
