Upgrade at University Hospital No. 2

A new project has been launched at the Jan Biziel University Hospital No. 2 in Bydgoszcz. The institution is planning to extend and redevelop the Emergency Department, largely by the creation of modern initial intensive care stations. The nearly PLN 4.5 million project is co-financed from the EU’s European Regional Development Fund.

Prof. Styczyński as a national consultant

Prof. dr hab. Jan Styczyński from the Department of Paediatrics, Haematology and Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz has been appointed the national consultant in the field of paediatric oncology ad haematology.


Erasmus+ recruitment

Students interested in learning abroad within the Erasmus+ exchange programme are invited to submit their application documents to the CM Department of International Programmes and Cooperation with Industry until 10 March 2017.


University Day 2017

The Nicolaus Copernicus University was celebrating its University Day on 19 February 2017 – the 554. birth anniversary of its patron, Nicolaus Copernicus (born 19 February 1473). As each year, a special ceremony was held as a tribute to the man who “stopped the Sun and moved the Earth”.


Erasmus+ orientation week

178 students from all sides of the world will soon begin their studies in Bydgoszcz within the Erasmus+ Student Exchange Program. During the orientation week organised jointly by four Bydgoszcz universities, the foreign students will have the opportunity to get a grasp of the city, its history and sights, as well as to familiarise themselves with Polish language and customs.


More scholarships for publications

Dr hab. Marek Koziński, dr Magdalena Krintus, prof. dr hab. Jacek Kubica and prof. dr hab. Grażyna Odrowąż-Sypniewska received scholarships for their high-impact publication: "High-sensitivity cardiac troponin assays: from improved analytical performance to enhanced risk stratification" in Critical Reviews in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
