Dr Maciej Nowacki from the Department of Surgical Oncology of the Faculty of Health Sciences has been appointed as Polish representative for young scientists and residents in surgical oncology to the ESSO Young Surgeons and Alumni Club (EYSAC).
Dr Maciej Nowacki, assistant professor at the Department of Surgical Oncology of the Faculty of Health Sciences, has been appointed as Polish representative for young scientists and residents in surgical oncology to the ESSO (European Society of Surgical Oncology) Young Surgeons and Alumni Club (EYSAC).
The role of 12 representatives nominated by EYSAC for their accomplishments and contribution to surgical oncology is to promote and develop projects promoted by ESSO and related to research, treatment and education, and to provide common research and clinical platform for young scientists and clinicians from Europe and from Israel together with the European Society of Surgical Oncology.
Dr Nowacki and prof. dr hab. Wojciech Zegarski were the first in Poland and in Central Europe to perform an innovative chemotherapy procedure – Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC) in 2017, and participated in two international research projects registered in the ClinicalTrials database maintained by the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
