The Faculty of Pharmacy of NCU Collegium Medicum was honoured to welcome a group of researchers from the Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine: prof. Quan Yang, Associate prof. Xuan xuan Cheng and dr. Chunrong Zhang.
The Faculty of Pharmacy of NCU Collegium Medicum was honoured to welcome a group of researchers from the Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Key Laboratory of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Production and Development of Cantonese Medicinal Materials): prof. Quan Yang, Associate prof. Xuan xuan Cheng and dr. Chunrong Zhang.
The visit began at the Medicinal and Cosmetic Plant Garden, maintained by the Faculty of Pharmacy, which was followed by a presentation of the Faculty’s organisational units and their research infrastructure. The visiting scholars presented the areas of their research interest and the history of traditional Chinese medicine in their highly interesting presentations:
– Introduction of Our Research on Chinese Medicinal Materials,
– History and Culture of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The next day was devoted to a visit to the KAWON-HURT Nowak sp.j. Herbal Products Manufacturer in Gostyń, during which our guests had the opportunity to learn about the rich history of the company, witness the production process, and inspect the Quality Control Lab.
We are pleased that our guests expressed their satisfaction with the visit at the Faculty of Pharmacy and their willingness to carry out joint projects pertaining to both academic teaching and scientific research. The delegates were particularly interested in our investigations concerning the chemical and biological analysis of medicinal substances of plant origin. Both sides declared readiness to strengthen the cooperation between the two institutions.
