Siminska JoannaWe are delighted to inform you that the title of the Best Graduate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in the academic year 2015/16 was awarded to mgr Joanna Siminska from the Faculty of Health Sciences of NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz. In 2014, Ms Siminska graduated from the second-cycle Physiotherapy program, and in 2016 – from the first-cycle Emergency Medical Science program. The laureate is currently a doctoral student in the field of medical sciences.

Ms Siminska received a grade point average of 4.53 for the entire period of study and the highest possible grade for her diploma thesis. Her research activity includes participation in over 60 scientific conferences, mostly international (in such countries as Italy, Germany, Austria, Thailand, or the USA). She is an author of 42 scientific publications, for which she received numerous awards, including 1st prize at the International Medical Conference (16-18.04.2015, Kraków) for the paper entitled “Palliative care, palliative surgery and the professional care of a patient in the terminal stage of disease – do we really know everything about these terms?”.

Ms Siminska was an active member of the Student Research Club for Rehabilitation and a co-organiser of the Polish Conference for Doctoral Students and Young Researchers and the Central European Conference on Regenerative Medicine in Bydgoszcz.

We would like to congratulate Ms Joanna Siminska, who certainly sets an example to other students.
