We are proud to inform you that once again students of the 6-year MD Programme in English at NCU Collegium Medicum achieved a notable success at the National Inter-University Anatomy Competition Scapula Aurea and Golden Scapula 2018. This year’s edition was held on 1-3 June in Gdańsk.
This annually-held contest is addressed to Polish and international students of medicine, and each participating medical university is represented by a team of pre-selected students. The participants represented 16 higher education institutions from all over the country.
The practical part of the competition involved the identification of 50 anatomical structures from formalin-fixed specimens and in x-ray, CT and ultrasound images. The theoretical part consisted of 60 multiple choice questions related to normal, topographic, clinical and neurological anatomy.
Our students’ results:
2nd place in team ranking – English Division team:
- Ask Vang – who got the highest score in the theoretical part and took 4th place in the individual ranking,
- Josè Liberato Neto,
- Robert Fitzsimons;
5th place in team ranking – Polish Division team:
- Daria Kozdroń – who got the 4th best score in the theoretical part and took 7th place in the individual ranking,
- Michał Puczyński,
- Alicja Partyka.
It is also worth mentioning that all our students were in the group of first 15 out of 77 participants.
This is another achievement of our students in this prestigious contest. In 2014, a team of Polish students took 1st place and a team of international students took 2nd place in the competition. In 2015, Collegium Medicum students dominated the podium, taking 1st places in individual and team rankings of both Polish and international competitors. In 2016 edition on the contest, our students were among top Polish competitors – they took 2nd places in both the individual and team ranking.
Congratulations!
