We are delighted to inform you that prof. dr hab. Arkadiusz Jawień, head of the Department of Vascular Surgery and Angiology at the Faculty of Medicine and director of the Centre for Medical Education in English in NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, has been appointed the president of the Polish Society for Vascular Surgery for the term 2018-2020.
We are delighted to inform you that prof. dr hab. Arkadiusz Jawień, head of the Department of Vascular Surgery and Angiology at the Faculty of Medicine and director of the Centre for Medical Education in English in NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, has been appointed the president of the Polish Society for Vascular Surgery for the term 2018-2020.
Professor Jawień currently serves as the president of the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) – a scientific association whose primary aim is to pursue collaborative research into the field of vascular diseases. The Society was established in 1986 and, expanding ever since, now has over 2000 members, forming a union of National Vascular Societies from Europe as well as other parts of the world.
The position of the president of the Polish Society for Vascular Surgery will undoubtedly facilitate preparations for the European Congress of Vascular Surgeons which is planned to be held in 2020 in Cracow.
