We are proud to inform that two of our academics have joined the ranks of members of the Polish Academy of Sciences [Polska Akademia Nauk – PAN] – the most prestigious scientific institution in Poland – dr hab. n. farm. Michał Marszałł, prof. UMK and dr hab. Walentyna Korpalska.
Dr hab. n. farm. Michał Marszałł, prof. UMK, head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, became a member of the Committee on Therapy and Drug Science of the Medical Sciences Division of PAN for the term 2015-2018.
The Committee on Therapy and Drug Science of PAN is an autonomous representative body for medical and pharmaceutical sciences in the scope of pharmacotherapy and drug science, including in particular: clinical pharmacology, drug synthesis and analysis, pharmaceutical biochemistry and biotechnology, drug dosage technology and biopharmacy, pharmacognosy, pharmacogenetics, experimental pharmacology and clinical pharmacy.
Dr hab. n. hum. Walentyna Korpalska, head of the Department of History of Medicine and Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, became a member of the Committee on History of Science and Technology. The group of experts functions as a scientific committee at the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences of PAN.
