Dr Piotr Merks from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at NCU Collegium Medicum has been invited to participate in a session of the British Parliament devoted to the role of pharmacists in improving the safety of drug use among patients.
Dr Piotr Merks from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of NCU Collegium Medicum has been invited by the Pharmacists’ Defence Association to participate as an observer in one of the sessions of the British Parliament. The meeting on 5 December 2017 will be devoted to the role of pharmacists in improving the safety of drug use among patients.
Dr Piotr Merks has been a member of the British Royal Pharmaceutical Society since 2005. The Society holds official patronage over research into and implementation of the system of pharmaceutical pictograms in Poland. Pharmaceutical pictograms serve as a practical tool for improving pharmacist–patient communication, medication adherence, and consequently patient safety. The Polish project was awarded in the UK in 2013 as a creative idea for a new type of pharmaceutical service.
