Join us for this year’s edition of the “Teddy bear under the hospital Christmas tree” campaign! All profits from the Christmas cake fair (11-12 December 2018) and Christmas concert (13 December 2018) will be used entirely for charity-based projects.
If you haven’t been infected by the Christmas spirit yet, it may change once you take part in special events organised by our students! As each year, the Bydgoszcz branch of IFMSA-Poland has created a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share some warmth and get involved in kind, selfless acts. Join us for this year’s edition of the “Teddy bear under the hospital Christmas tree” campaign!
The project entitled “Teddy bear under the hospital Christmas tree” was first launched in 2002 with the aim of collecting funds to buy modest gifts for children who are forced to spend this most joyful season in hospital, away from their families and friends. The campaign has been organised by IFMSA-Poland for several years now.
This year’s edition features two main events:
Christmas cake and pastry fair
-> when: 11-12 December 2018 (Tue, Wed), between 12.00 noon – 6.00 pm
-> where: halls of the Medical Library, Pathology building and Student House no. 3 (all within the Jurasz Hospital campus)
Christmas concert with a raffle and auction
-> when: 13 December 2018 (Thu), start at 7.30 pm
-> where: room 35, Pharmacy building (ul. Jurasza 2)
All profits from the events will be spent on gifts and presents that will be given by our volunteer Santas, Elves, and Angels to those children whose poor health prevents them from spending Christmas at home. Help us put smiles on the children’s faces! All you have to do is join us for the Christmas events and participate in the fair, raffle or auction. The Bydgoszcz branch of IFMSA-Poland is going to buy teddy bears for children staying in paediatric departments at the A. Jurasz University Hospital No. 1.
