On 1st March 2016, a significant agreement was signed between prof. Jan Styczyński, Vice-Rector for Collegium Medicum, and Michał Kępowicz, Director of the Department of European Funds of the Ministry of Health. The contract ensures the financing of the project entitled “Development of medical teaching through instructional simulation at the Nicolaus Copernicus University Collegium Medicum”.

On 1st March 2016, a significant agreement was signed between prof. Jan Styczyński, Vice-Rector for Collegium Medicum, and Michał Kępowicz, Director of the Department of European Funds of the Ministry of Health. The contract ensures the financing of the project entitled “Development of medical teaching through instructional simulation at the Nicolaus Copernicus University Collegium Medicum”. The project was launched as part of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014 – 2020, co-financed from the European Social Fund.

The main aim of the Centre for Medical Simulation is to improve the quality and effectiveness of medical teaching provided to Collegium Medicum students, which is in accord with the University’s strategy for development as a modern teaching centre. The Centre is intended mainly for the students of medicine, nursing and midwifery. The facility is designed to help enrich the process of medical teaching through simulation-based courses, extracurricular classes, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) sessions, teaching staff training, as well as courses and internships for medical simulation instructors.
