Prof. dr hab. Jacek Kubica and his research team received a subsidy awarded in a contest run by the Medical Research Agency (ABM). The main objective of the contest is to support non-commercial clinical trials.
The Medical Research Agency announced their first contest for research projects covering different areas of medicine, for which a total amount of PLN 100 million will be allocated in subsidies. It is worth mentioning that this is the first initiative of this type in East-Central Europe, offering such a considerable financial assistance to non-commercial clinical studies.
78 projects were submitted for assessment, 28 out of which are now going to be financed by AMB. The research team led by prof. Jacek Kubica received 179 points for their study entitled „Evaluation of safety and efficacy of two ticagrelor-based de-escalation antiplatelet strategies in acute coronary syndrome: the randomized, multicenter, double-blind ELECTRA RCT study”. The team took 3rd place in the ranking and will now receive nearly PLN 19 million as a research subsidy.
