1st year students of the medical program at NCU Collegium Medicum achieved a notable, double success at the National Inter-University Anatomy Competition Scapula Aurea and Golden Scapula. This year’s edition was held at the Wrocław Medical University between 3-5 June 2016.
Medical students participating in the competition represented eleven Polish higher education institutions from Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Kielce, Kraków, Łódź, Olsztyn, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Warszawa and Wrocław.
The practical test involved the identification of 30 anatomical structures from formalin-fixed specimens and 40 anatomical structures from x-ray, CT and MRI images. The theoretical part consisted of 80 multiple and 10 single choice questions related to normal, topographic, clinical and neurological anatomy.
First places in individual and team rankings were given to students of the Wrocław Medical University. Collegium Medicum students were among the top competitors:

This is another achievement of our students in this prestigious contest. In 2014, a team of Polish students took 1st place and a team of international students took 2nd place in the Anatomy Competition. In last year’s edition of the contest, Collegium Medicum students dominated the podium, taking 1st places in individual and team rankings of both Polish and international competitors.
Congratulations!
