Our researchers in the fight against COVID-19

We are pleased to inform you that researchers from NCU Collegium Medicum are going to make a valuable contribution to the fight against COVID-19. Two clinical studies will be conducted simultaneously: by prof. dr hab. Jacek Kubica, vice-rector for research at the Nicolaus Copernicus University and head of the Department of Cardiology and Internal Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, and dr hab. Eliano Navarese, professor at the Department of Cardiology and Clinical Pharmacology at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Prof. dr hab. Jacek Kubica and his research team received a subsidy awarded in a contest run by the Medical Research Agency (ABM). The main objective of the contest is to support non-commercial clinical trials.

Validity of student ID cards prolonged

In relation to introducing the state of epidemic threat in Poland, the Minister of Science and Higher Education has decided that the validity of all student IDs shall be automatically extended until 31 May 2020. There is no need to personally visit the dean’s offices in order to prolong your ID validity.


All classes cancelled 12-25 March 2020

By the decision of the Prime Minister of Poland, ALL classes are cancelled for the period 12-25 March 2020 (2 weeks).


Rector’s hours

On 12 March 2020 starting from 3 p.m. at the University (in Toruń and Bydgoszcz) there will be Rector’s hours (no classes) due to Rector’s election.
