On 20th October 2013, the Half-Marathon of Bydgoszcz took place around the most picturesque areas of the city. We are proud to announce that Vegard Danielsen, a fourth year student of the medical program in English at Collegium Medicum, took second place, covering the distance of 21.097 km in an amazing time of 1:15:50.
It is worth mentioning that in April 2013 Vegard Danielsen took honorable first place in the National Cross-Country Championships for Medical Universities, which also took place in Bydgoszcz.
As many as 1022 contestants entered the main race of the Half-Marathon, which is a record for professional sports and recreation events held in Bydgoszcz. The finishing line greeted all the participants with medals and prizes in kind, presented by the President of Bydgoszcz and a few sports world champions from Poland.
We would like to congratulate all the staff members and students who duly represented Collegium Medicum in the race.
